The world right now seems like people have lost their collective mind. Not everyone; some still fight for the very values that brought us together, but many wish for division for self interest. While we like to control our environment for safety and the feeling of security, some changes are simply beyond our control. What is within our control is how we react to it and our willingness to adapt to the changes that life inevitably brings.

Self-Reflection Question

What part of my identity or routine am I clinging to out of fear—and how is that refusal to adapt keeping me stuck or irrelevant?

This question forces you to evaluate your resistance to change. GI Griffin lays it out: adaptation isn’t weakness—it’s survival. Growth requires flexibility, not fixation. If you’re holding on to what was instead of adjusting to what is, you’re falling behind. This reflection invites you to evolve instead of freeze.

Self-Improvement Challenge

This week, identify one area of your life that’s changing (work, relationships, tech, health, goals). Instead of fighting the shift, lean into it: learn something new, change your approach, or update your mindset.

The goal is to build adaptability like a muscle. Every time you choose to evolve instead of resist, you become more powerful in a world that won’t stop changing.
