Starting with a DJ business as a teenager, GI turned his early hustle into a career that’s spanned 20+ years, working with some of the biggest brands, businesses, and music icons.
The Hustle That Built a Growth Strategist
While promoting an event for radio in San Francisco, GI’s ability to move people and drive engagement caught the attention of a rep for Coca-Cola. That connection led to a role as Coca-Cola’s field marketing manager and sponsored DJ for Northern California, overseeing multiple brands like Vitamin Water, Coke Zero, NOS Energy Drinks, and Fuze Beverages.
Next stop—Los Angeles. GI took on a key role at Avid Technology as the Pro Tools rep for the greater L.A. area, interfacing with some of the biggest names in the music industry—Interscope Records, Dave Pensado, Jaycen Joshua, Brent Paschke, and Larrabee Studios. From tech to talent, GI understood exactly what it took to build influence and make an impact.
Using those insights, GI founded and headed up marketing for what became the #1 rated studio in California, mixing records for H.E.R., Jessie Reyez, Julia Michaels, Charlie XCX, and BLVK JVCK. His mixing skills earned him a spot as promotions mix engineer for Bud Light SoundStage, collaborating with Charlie Puth, Tinashe, Tori Kelly, Sage The Gemini, and more.
